Inventory Clerk

Job Description
Accurately counts and records quantity, type and value of material, equipment, merchandise or supplies stocked by client company by performing the following duties.
Counts material, equipment, merchandise or supplies in stock and enters information to inventory records using counting machine and any other systems needed to properly record data.
Verfies counted information against physical count of stock and adjust errors in computation or count, or investigates and reports reasons for discrepancies.
Prepares reports such as inventory balance, price lists, and shortages.
Advises supervisors of deviations from standard operating procedures.
Meets or exceeds standards:
Ensures less than 2% deviation from actual count, counts quantity by shelf unit, square feet, receives number of customer complement/complaints
Follows good safety practices and reports unsafe conditions to supervisor, refers employment candidates and assist in the training of new employees.
Job Requirements
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred, but not required. No prior experience needed.
Ability to read and comprehend simple instrucutions and memos in the local business language.
Ability to effectively present information to customers, clients and other employees of the organization.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
Aptitude to learn 10-key by touch
Must have reliable transportation to work in different locations.
Able to operate inventory machine and scanner to record quantities and prices.
Must have a valid Driver's License if required to drive a company vehicle.
Employee is required to stand for extended periods of time without the ability to sit. The employee is required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel ; reach with hands and arms. Must be able to climb, balance and stoop. Knee crouch or crawl at times. The employee will occasionally lift and/or move up to 25lbs. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision and depth perception.
Compensation:
Starting rate will be $11.00 per hour.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
